BASELOCK TAKES THE KTM 500 FITMENT TO THE NEXT LEVEL
We've been testing the new BASELOCK system on the KTM 500, and honestly, it works extremely well.
The KTM 500 already suits the Strzelecki platform, but BASELOCK improves the foundation even further by helping the rackless base sit tighter against the bike.
What it does:
- Reduces rear creasing in the rackless base
- Creates a tighter overall fit
- Helps stabilise the luggage platform
- Improves the feel of the system when riding rough terrain
- Keeps the luggage sitting cleaner against the bike
The result is a more dialled-in setup for riders pushing harder off-road.
And importantly — BASELOCK is completely optional.
If you're already happy with your setup, you don't need it.
But if you want your rackless system sitting even tighter on bikes like the KTM 500, it’s a very worthwhile upgrade.
